Our Story
Solara Photo Booths was founded by Simi, an Ontario-based creator with an interest in photography and graphic design. Her love for photography developed through her travels, capturing meaningful candid photographs that preserved the moment.
The idea for Solara came to Simi while attending a wedding reception. During the event, she used a photo booth and was disappointed with the quality of the final image. Pixelated text and graphics, spelling mistakes, and the wrong date on the template were only some of the issues.
This wasn’t the first time she had experienced this with a photo booth, but that moment highlighted a gap in the industry: many photo booth experiences prioritized convenience over the final photograph, often resulting in inconsistent lighting, overly busy templates, and avoidable mistakes that didn’t reflect the quality of the events they were part of.
Simi created Solara Photo Booths to address that gap by prioritizing high-resolution photographs, quality equipment, and tastefully designed templates. Her goal is to ensure every client receives the care and attention they deserve while commemorating life’s special moments.
